These socks have also been a perfect distraction from all the crap that is going on here at work. Since I started working here I have hated contract time. These contract negotiations have been the worst of all. The auto industry is in such a bad state that we have no idea what we may end up with when the dust settles. Our deadline is Monday at midnight, and the rumors of a strike appear to be true. Nedless to say I'll be spending the weekend making sure I'm prepared for whatever Tuesday morning may hold for me. I'll either be walking a picket line or trying to decide if our union needs to go back into negotiatons.
Wish us luck. We're going to need it!
