GETTING READY FOR COMPANY

That's right!  I've got company coming again.  This weekend my sister and her husband are passing through for a few hours on their way to pick up their nieces and nephews.  And the beginning of August my parents are coming in for three weeks.  One week we are all going to spend with my sister in Wisconsin.  Needless to say, I'm kicking it into over-drive and re-arranging the house for company.

Right now, I'm pulling up the carpet in the spare bedroom.  It's something I should have done years ago.  But I just hadn't felt like it.  (laziness I guess)  But I'm buckling down, and at least getting it started while I'm off.

During the house work, attempts to train Harley and myself, and play dates with friends, I have gotten a little knitting done.  Not much, just a little.  Since I discovered Plurk a week or so ago.  I also discovered the Nanner pattern.  Which I think is definitely going to be one of my new favorite sock patterns.  Unfortunately, I didn't have any banana colored yarn.  But after some suggestions on the part of other Plurkers, I cast on with some yarn I had in my stash (STR - FooFoo colorway).  And this is what I have so far.

It's a really fun and easy pattern.  And it's coming along nicely.  I would like to have been further along, but with Harley in the house, and preparing for company, I don't get much knitting done.

It's time for me to get back to work.  But I think I'm going to knit a row or two before I do.  Have a great day!

Happy knitting, and blogging.

I love that sock pattern. I still haven't finished my pair yet and the sad part about that is....I'm on the home stretch for both socks. Don't have much left to go. :P
