WHAT'S GOING ON???
This morning I had plans to go shopping with my aunt. When she picked me up, she was furious. I asked her what was wrong. She said, "Someone stole the solar lights from in front of my house!" That's right, someone stole the solar lights that lined the front of her house. That in and of itself is a shame. But what was even worst is, I wasn't completed shocked by this. When she told my mom, she wasn't shocked. When she told her friend, she wasn't shocked. Times are getting so tough, and the things people steal are getting so strange, that the theft of something as simple as solar lights isn't a surprise to that many people. What is this world coming to? I'm not really sure I want to know.

Really? If I had known that solar lights were such a valuable item to own, I wouldn't have gotten rid of ours this weekend. lol.
You are so right...these days they will steal anything. Although solar lights is a new one.

It's going around. I've lost phone service at work twice in the last couple of months because they have stolen the phone cables out of the ground! For the copper. What's next?
I had two thoughts on this - either you have environmentally-conscious thieves, or else they are eliminating the outdoor lighting to make it easier to come back and rob the house itself. But I have a pretty low opinion of people in general, these days...
People will steal anything if it isn't nailed down. It's only going to get worse with our economy the way it is.
